My tours are designed to be an exceptionally unique hybrid between a wine tasting tour, yoga retreat, and cultural experience. As an avid yogi and wine professional, with a deep love for Italy, I always find that I am forced to pick one kind of trip - a self-planned cultural adventure, an exhausting educational wine trip, or a "hippy-crunchy" yoga retreat. I always wondered why can't I just do it all? And thus the idea for Vino and Vinyasa Tours was born.

I design travel experiences with authenticity in mind: you get to do your yoga practice in the morning and be a culturally curious wine and food tourist in the afternoon while staying somewhere breathtakingly beautiful and away from the tourist mobs. This kind of travel is more in depth and slower paced than most, with very few things running on a tight schedule. You will be left with time to relax and explore and can opt out of anything that doesn't work for you...no 6am wake-up calls to hop on the tourist bus around here!

Expect to end your tour changed in some way. You may find that your palate is just a bit more refined, that you are in less of a hurry, that you are perhaps just more connected with others and your surroundings, or that you are now a self-professed italophile who cares more about the perfection of their thimbleful of espresso and a meaningful conversation than their cell phone. Take a step back, disconnect to reconnect with something saturated with realness, and just be.

Key points:

  • Your trip leader will always be fluent in the local language.
  • All meals and beverages, including local wine, are included in the cost of your trip.
  • The food will be both local and traditional as well as Michelin starred quality.
  • You will visit family owned wineries and experience tours not normally available to those outside of the wine business.
  • Accommodations are homey while still being luxurious: villas, palazzi, elegant apartments, restored farm houses etc.
  • Transportation is most often a combination of cars and trains - no tourist buses.
  • All yoga will be taught by a certified yoga instructor.
  • You will also have a wine specialist and educator along to aid in learning about the wine region you are visiting.
  • Most trips run from Saturday to Saturday for our week long trips, giving you a full 8 days and 7 nights. Longer trips are available.
  • Your trip is your trip, you are not required to do anything that doesn't sound like fun.
